2. True Colors, Kristin Hannah

Post  Melissa on Sun Jan 09, 2011 3:51 am

This was a book club book, and although none of us like it, this was the book that sparked the most discussion at our meeting.

It's about three sisters who live on a ranch in a small coastal town. The book covers 20+ years of their lives and examines how their sisterly bond changes over the years. The main event is the marriage of the youngest sister and how that marriage is partially responsible for the dissolution of the family.

This book was like reading a Lifetime movie - it manipulated emotions using cheep tricks and there wasn't a likable character in the book. But it was like watching a train-wreck and I couldn't look away.

I'm hopeful that I might actually like my next book.

I've felt that way a lot lately. I keep hoping I will like my next book too. Smile
