Ariel is here.
I'm here - transferred over from the previous "28 in 08" forum.
My New year's resolution for "29 in '09" is to report on all the books I read. I know I'll be reading at least 29 - the trick will be to remember to come here and add to the list.

Re: Ariel is here.
I'm kind of sorry to report that the starting avatar you saw was the one reserved for those who post in places other than the book review forums. If someone wants to register and post there, I won't stop them initially, as I expect they're going to post book reviews eventually. However, once someone posts their first review, I change their avatar to the first in the reviewers series, and that's different.
In the case of people who I know are going to post reviews, your avatars are already changed. That includes you, Ariel.
Sorry!

By the way, Welcome!
And everyone should know that you can setup your own personal avatar too, I think. I did it, but I have an interesting kind of access as the person who created the site.
If you want your own personal avatar in addition to the reading level avatar, try and set it up through your profile. If that works, great. If not, send me a note and I will make it happen for you. (I need to add that to the announcements section, I think...)

Re: Ariel is here.
Thanks
BTW, I've given my husband the web address for this site, so there may be another reader in the community this year. I think he already has two books he can write reviews for.
I also gave him the web address for the previous years, so he can browse there and get an idea of what it's about.

Re: Ariel is here.
Getting your husband to participate in this forum is a fine idea. Thank you! I'm happy to see a few more participants, so handing out the URL is great!
Thanks again!

Re: Ariel is here.
You're doing better than I am if you've got 5 to review. Work has totally taken over my life and I have no time for reading anymore. *sigh*
I keep on trying, though. Largely because this forum exists.
So post those reviews, please!
